This lathe-turned bowl sits so low that you can't see its foot, creating the illusion that it is floating. Box elder is a type of maple wood that often has pink/red streaks like the ones in this piece, though these could turn brown over time. Super-smooth texture and finished with polymerized linseed oil and beeswax.
